Fit-out Contribution

Fit-out Contribution is granted by the landlord. The tenant should not bear the full cost of office space fitting and furnishing, and the landlord is usually willing to grant a contribution of a specific amount.

Office and warehouse space is usually handed over to tenants in a condition that – in terms of the floor plan or furnishings does not fit their vision or need. Such space needs to be refurbished or – in the case of new buildings – fitted out to suit the tenant’s needs.

Like the rent-free period, fit-out contribution is a type of incentive granted by landlords to new tenants. The fit-out contribution is a popular and widely used incentive which reduces the tenant’s cost of office fitting.
